What is Eventry?

Australia's sports events in one place

Finding sporting events used to mean searching dozens of different websites, Facebook pages, and club newsletters. Eventry brings them all together — a single directory where you can search, filter, and discover events across every sport and every state.

We don't run events ourselves. We connect you with the organisers who do — and send you straight to their registration page when you're ready to enter.

Finding the right event

Eventry gives you several ways to narrow down events to exactly what you're looking for.

Sport pills — filter by sport

At the top of the events page, click any sport to instantly show only those events. Click "All Sports" to reset.

Filters & Sort — refine your results

Tap the Filters button to open the filter panel. You can refine by state, organiser, price range, date, and sort order. When filters are active, a badge shows how many you have applied — e.g. Filters 2. Tap Apply & Close to close the panel, or ✕ Clear filters to reset everything.

Search — find by name or location

Use the search bar at the top of the page to search by event name, location, or sport. Results update as you type.

💡
Tip: Try searching your nearest town or city to find all events in your area — e.g. "Sydney", "Melbourne", or "Gold Coast".
Step 2

Reading an event card

Every event is displayed as a card. Here's what each part tells you:

Running
Blue Mountains Ultra Trail
16 Aug 2026
Katoomba, NSW
1
Sport badge — the category this event falls under. Click it to filter for similar events.
2
Event name — the official name of the race or festival.
3
Date — when the event takes place.
4
Location — the town/suburb and state.
5
Organiser — who runs the event. Click their name to see all their events.
6
From $X — the lowest entry price across all disciplines. The event may have cheaper or more expensive options.
7
Disciplines — how many race categories are available. E.g. "4 disciplines" means 4 distance/format options.
8
View → — click to see full event details including all disciplines, distances, and the Register button.
Featured events have an orange border and a "Featured" badge at the top of the card. These events have been highlighted by Eventry — they're great options worth checking out.
Good to know

Events with multiple disciplines

Many events on Eventry offer more than one race format or distance. This is especially common for running festivals, triathlon events, and adventure races.

For example, a single triathlon festival might offer:

Discipline Distance Price
Kids Tri100m / 2km / 1km$45
Sprint750m / 20km / 5km$155
Olympic1.5km / 40km / 10km$195
Ironman 70.31.9km / 90km / 21.1km$275

When you click View on an event card, you'll see all available disciplines so you can choose the one that suits your level and goals.

🏅
New to events? Look for events with a beginner-friendly tag, or choose the shortest discipline in a multi-distance event. Most organisers welcome first-timers and will have support on course.
Step 3

How to register

Eventry doesn't process registrations directly — we connect you with the event organiser's own registration system. Here's how it works:

1
Find your event on Eventry
Use the search and filters to find the event and discipline that suits you.
2
Click "View →" on the event card
This opens the full event detail page showing all disciplines, distances, prices, and event information.
3
Choose your discipline and click "Register"
Select the distance or category you want to enter and click the Register button.
4
Complete registration on the organiser's site
You'll be taken directly to the organiser's registration page — EntryCentral, EventBrite, or their own website. Complete your entry there as normal.
ℹ️
Payment and confirmation are handled by the event organiser — not Eventry. If you have questions about your registration, entry fee, or race day logistics, contact the organiser directly using the details on their website.
Help

Frequently asked questions

Is Eventry free to use?
Yes — Eventry is completely free for participants. We're a discovery platform. Finding and browsing events costs nothing. You pay the event organiser directly when you register.
Do I need to create an account?
No account needed to browse events on Eventry. You only create an account when registering for an event — and that's on the organiser's own platform, not Eventry.
How do I know if an event still has spots available?
Eventry shows event details as provided by the organiser. To check real-time availability, click Register and you'll see current availability on the organiser's registration page. Popular events can sell out quickly — if you're keen, enter early.
I registered for an event — who do I contact with questions?
Contact the event organiser directly. Their website and contact details are linked on the event listing. Eventry doesn't manage registrations, payments, or race day logistics.
Can I search for events near me?
Yes — use the State filter to narrow events to your state, or type your town or city into the search bar. Location-based search (using your GPS) is coming in a future update.
An event I'm looking for isn't on Eventry — what can I do?
We're constantly adding new events. If there's an event you'd like to see listed, let us know at eventry.au@gmail.com — or better yet, point the organiser to our listing page at eventry.au/pricing so they can add it themselves.
What does "Featured" mean on an event card?
Featured events are highlighted listings that appear at the top of search results. They're great events worth checking out — organisers choose to feature them to reach more participants.
I'm a beginner — are there events suitable for me?
Absolutely. Many events on Eventry have beginner-friendly categories — shorter distances, fun runs, kids' races, and introductory formats. Look for events tagged as "beginner friendly" or choose the shortest discipline in any multi-distance event. Every champion started somewhere!
Can I suggest improvements to Eventry?
We'd love to hear from you. Email us at eventry.au@gmail.com with any feedback, suggestions, or features you'd like to see. We're building Eventry for the Australian sporting community — your input shapes what we build next.
